Shiro Lala One-Shot: "Dinner in My Coffin" by Nari Kusakawa

How could I resist a one-shot with a title page like this!?  It's soooo pretty!  This is actually a scan of the one of the post cards that comes with Shiro Lala.  The other post cards are a clean version of the Shiro Lala cover (Akiduki Sorata's drawing from her one-shot) and "Wild Wing".  But I digress...the idea of an all white vampire is cool.  I like the white bats too.  The concept is very nice and different.

I really liked this one-shot.  It felt very mature for what's usually in Lala, without being "adult".  I wish there were more one-shot like this. Ashleigh is definitely my new favorite vampire.

Oh!  For a giggle, read this one-shot a second time, but pay close attention to the dog Pia.  The dog is priceless.

Series Debut: "Fushigi no Maria-kun" Chp 1

 

At last!  Phew!  Getting this first chapter together was quite a struggle!  Every page had at lease one crazy redraw, so let's give praise and thanks to Silver Lunar, Ichigo Stars, and Kumiko for working so hard to get this release done!  Here's a quick summary from the inner flap:

I don't know if we will be able to release this series on a monthly basis given the difficultly and the number of redraws in each chapter.  We will do our best to release a chapter every 4 - 6 weeks.  If you are a person with some serious Photoshop skillz (drawing and clone stamping) who could lend us a hand with this series, that would help a lot to keep us on track.  Please use the contact link in the menu bar to contact me.

Next up!  On Bakeneko's Lair we will debut "Servamp" and "Rex Fabula" within the next 7 - 10 days.  The rest of the stuff planned for OS may be moved back to get us time for these releases, UNLESS the Ouran special chapter involves TamaHaru or Kyouya, in which case, I will cease all other activities to get that out ASAP.

New Series: "Junketsu + Kareshi" Chapter 1

"Junketsu + Kareshi" ("Pureblood + Boyfriend")  is another new series from "Aria" magazine.  I will definitely be translating the second chapter because I want to know what happens next and the chapter left me with lots of questions.  As with "Pika Ichi," I will decide whether to continue this series based on the second chapter.  As always, your feedback is appreciated and wanted.

This is yet another vampire romance, however, this particular vampire does bite and he may not be a nice guy.  I have a lot of hope for this story because I'm tired of vampires who don't act like vampires.

I should be getting LalaDX 9 this afternoon, which means I can finally start on AnS and ZHD.  AnS 20 should be released in about a week.
